Comunidade IN
The Community IN is a program created by EDP Institute that aims to help develop the communities where EDP is present, through social investments and partnerships with other institutions. Inspired by the example of Medellín, Colombia, and the concept of smart cities, the program chooses strategic areas and operates in them for three years.
During this time, the community is heard and studied. The projects and actions are planned with the active participation of the residents.

Community IN in Espírito Santo
Since 2021, the project has been working with and supporting the Jabaeté community in Vila Velha, promoting safety in electrical networks and actions aimed at energy efficiency, among others.
Solar Community
Installation of panels and training of residents through the NGO Revolusolar.
Jabaeté Recycling Point
Waste management, income generation, and environmental education for the local community.
Dignified Housing (Moradia Digna)
Project with housing reforms and improvements for the community, impacting 30 homes and families.

Comunidade IN in São Paulo
As in Espírito Santo, the project meets and supports the needs of the local community by promoting a just energy transition and actions aimed at education, sport and housing improvements.
Litro de Luz (Liter of Light)
Implementation of 30 solar energy poles in the community, bringing greater security and sustainability.
EDP & Gerando Falcões
Access to electricity and safe care for the residents of Favela dos Sonhos, in Ferraz de Vasconcelos (SP - Brazil).

The project benefited more than 40 students and children directly.
Energy Transition
Social solar micro-plant
In 2023, the Social Solar Microusine project was created and implemented in Roseira, São Paulo, benefiting more than 150 families in the Favela dos Sonhos, helping to reduce residents' defaults, which were a common problem, and energy poverty.
