EDP Group invests more than 30M€ each year in social responsibility programs around the world (Europe, South America, North America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific) in more than 500 social projects with a strong focus on leaving no one behind in the energy transition, especially those living or working in areas affected by EDP's operations.

Fair Energy Transition is the overarching global theme, but we also invest in Culture thru our foundations in Brazil, Spain and Portugal and develop several initiatives to face natural catastrophes or any emergencies that might arrive. It's all developed under the Brand Y.E.S. You Empower Society

Within Fair Energy Transition we develop global social projects across 6 main pillars: Solar Energy Projects (implementation of solar panels to bring the benefits of solar in schools, rural or disadvantaged communities and social organizations); Fight Energy Poverty Projects (offering energy-saving and efficient housing solutions to low-income families); Upskilling and Reskilling Projects (within the scope of renewable energy to minorities or people living in communities close to EDP’s production centers); Educational Projects (for the new generations to understand the importance of clean energy sources); Environmental Sustainability projects (that address ocean or forest cleanup, species protection or others); Impact investment funds and capital donations (to support local fair energy transition businesses).

EDP offers a cultural boost to the city of Lisbon (in Portugal) through MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology.
