Health and Safety at Work is an integral part of the activities of EDP Group companies and manifests itself in all decisions: in planning, construction, operation and maintenance, personnel management, supplies, commercial activities, relations with customers, suppliers and the general public.
To better manage the strategic goals of its Occupational Health and Safety policy, EDP has adopted a Safety Management System based on the OHSAS 18001 standard, in line with the International Labor Organization’s 2001 ILO-OSH recommendation, thereby reasserting the principle that Occupational Health and Safety issues are managed according to common criteria across EDP Group companies.
