Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of article 248-B of the Portuguese Securities code and article 14 of the Portuguese Securities Commission Regulation no. 5/2008, EDP - Energias de Portugal SA ("EDP") provides the following information to the market:
Mr. João Marques da Cruz, member of EDP Executive Board of Directors, informed EDP that, on the present date, he has acquired 37,500 shares of EDP share capital, at a price of 2.80 euros per share.
Moreover, EDP informs that, after the above-mentioned acquisition, Mr. João Marques da Cruz holds 41,378 shares of EDP's share capital.
