The “Renew Your Energy” Project, one of the winners of the 2022 edition of the EDP Solidarity Program, aims to raise awareness, provide training, and offer advice on energy transition and efficient energy use.

Energy Transition and Efficient Energy Use

In March 2023, the EDP Foundation, the Ávila Foundation, and the Santa Maria la Real Foundation presented the “Renew Your Energy” Project, an initiative involving various free activities for awareness, training, and advice on energy transition and efficient energy use, aimed at third sector organizations located in the Castile and León region.

“Renew Your Energy” Program

The Program, funded by the EDP Foundation within the scope of the 2022 edition of the EDP Solidarity Program, includes:

Six seminars and workshops (online)

Conducted between March and September 2023, one per month, addressing topics such as energy transition, self-consumption, circular economy, carbon footprint calculation, or energy poverty.

A monographic course (semi-attendance)

Developed between September and November 2023, across ten modules and over twelve weeks, it explains to participants how to tackle climate change, the energy crisis, and, above all, how to address energy transition in their organizations sustainably.

Participants will not only learn to craft their own sustainability strategy, but they will also become familiar with the current legislation and learn about different measures and tools to save energy and minimize environmental impact. Additionally, they will receive a didactic game that allows them to consolidate their knowledge in a playful manner.

The “Renew Your Energy” project was awarded in the 2022 edition of the EDP Solidarity Program. This is a social initiative of the EDP Foundation, which aims to promote sustainable projects that respond to social needs, improving the quality of life and integration of vulnerable people and groups at risk of exclusion, as well as promoting employment and entrepreneurship.
