In Poland, introducing children to renewable energy sources in a playful way.

In Poland, during the 4th edition of the Your Energy Program, EDPR experts went to elementary schools to introduce children to renewable energy sources in a playful and entertaining way.

Taking renewable energy sources to school

As part of the 4th edition of the Your Energy Program by EDP Renováveis (EDPR), students from Gołańcz, Budzyń, Tomaszów, Jarczów and Korsze elementary schools in Poland were visited by EDP experts, who had the opportunity to talk about renewable energy sources.

The students "embarked on a journey" around the world of renewable energy sources, accompanied by characters representing each of these sources: solar, water, wind, geothermal and biomass. Through experiments, animations, and stories, the children discovered green energy sources and learned how to take care of the environment when performing small daily activities.

Teachers were also given some guidelines for more sustainable use of electricity. In the end, the students received a drawing with the new characters to color and an activity booklet to solve ecological puzzles at home with the help of their parents.

The fourth edition of the program was also used to launch the Your Energy website, which introduces children to the characters and renewable energy sources, teaching how to use electricity safely and ecologically.
