“A vontade de mudar é um recurso renovável”

Foi em 2017, no palco da Web Summit, que Al Gore, o antigo vice-presidente dos EUA e Nobel da Paz em 2007, proferiu esta frase. Cinco anos passaram, mas a sua pertinência mantém-se, tal como a urgência dessa mudança. Na EDP acreditamos que a mudança se faz com inovação e é por isto que, pelo sétimo ano consecutivo, fomos parceiros da maior conferência de tecnologia da Europa, a Web Summit. Com uma nova identidade que traduz visualmente os compromissos da marca, estamos nesta Web Summit com cerca de 180 participantes e com a vontade de reforçar a aposta EDP na inovação, no empreendedorismo e no ecossistema de startups, mas sobretudo nas energias renováveis. Queremos ser 100% verdes até 2030 e é este objetivo que guia a nossa ação. Porque nós escolhemos o planeta.

The member of EDP Executive Administration was part of the panel "Is the corporate ecosystem right for your startup?", together with Zack Weisfeld (Intel Ignite), Martin Tantow (Pegasus Tech Ventures) and Zachary Karabell (Politico). How is it possible to innovate regarding the investment in the area of start-ups and how can big companies be a fertile ground for this ecosystem that boils with new ideas were some of the topics addressed by Ana Paula Marques, responsible for EDP Innovation.

Fully charged: Powering the transition to renewable energy

The CEO of EDP group joined CGTN Europe presenter, Robyn Dwyer, for the panel "Fully charged: Powering the transition to renewable energy". For 20 minutes, Miguel Stilwell d'Andrade talked about EDP's commitment to be 100% green by 2030, leading the energy transition and ensuring the company's contribution to meeting the Paris Agreement. In this session, inevitably, the current energy crisis and the importance of renewable energies to overcome it were also addressed.
